Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Mid-Level Project Engineer or Technologist to contribute to our expanding team in Richmond, BC. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audits of industrial facilities and develop preliminary engineering designs and cost estimates for electrical and control system enhancements.
  • Complete the design of electrical control and instrumentation systems, including P&ID drawings and control system architecture.
  • Design, program, and configure DCS and PLC/HMI applications.
  • Prepare and assess tender and construction packages, including necessary documentation.
  • Perform design and settings for protection and control systems.
  • Conduct system checkout, testing, and commissioning activities.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering.
  • Experience in the pulp and paper sector is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and goal-oriented, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
  • Registered as an EIT/P.Eng. or AScT in British Columbia is a plus.
  • Familiarity with North American standards.
  • Authorized to work in Canada.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Additional Valued Skills:

  • Experience in consulting engineering.
  • Background in commissioning, construction, and startup processes.
