Job Title: Housekeeping Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Naveen Batish. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our client's home.

Responsibilities:
  • Housekeeping: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, stock linen closet, clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, pick up debris and empty trash containers, launder clothing and household linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls and ceilings.
  • Support: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster, support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition, offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees, provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking, optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis, work in employer's/client's home.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
