Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Chef to lead our culinary team at MANPASAND INDIAN CUISINE INC.. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to excellence in the kitchen.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar role
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Develop and create innovative recipes.
  • Guide and instruct kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty dishes for events such as banquets.
  • Oversee and supervise cooks and other kitchen personnel.
  • Regularly prepare and cook meals or specialty foods for guests and functions.
  • Order food and kitchen supplies as needed.
  • Coordinate equipment purchases and repairs.
  • Consult with clients regarding catering for weddings, banquets, and special events.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities across multiple restaurant locations.
  • Design menus and ensure that food meets high-quality standards.
  • Train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe food handling practices.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise a team of 3-4 kitchen staff members.

Culinary Focus
  • Expertise in preparing dishes featuring eggs and dairy.
  • Proficient in handling fish and seafood.
  • Skilled in cooking meat, poultry, and game.
  • Experienced in making stocks, soups, and sauces.
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physically demanding role involving a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
