Position Overview: Materials Engineering Team Leader

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to project managers and technicians involved in materials oversight
  • Assess the human, material, and financial resources necessary to meet team goals
  • Work in close collaboration with the department director to ensure effective team planning and coordination
  • Apply your technical skills and innovative thinking in the execution of projects
  • Oversee, manage, and evaluate daily project metrics including completion rates, timelines, budgets, and goal achievement
  • Contribute to the advancement of engineering and materials oversight capabilities in partnership with the director
  • Engage in client relationship management to foster satisfaction and loyalty
  • Assist in the preparation of bids and responses to various tenders
  • Participate actively in various organizational committees (e.g., business development, health and safety, employee engagement)

Qualifications:

  • Degree in construction, geology, civil engineering, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership and resource planning
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Current member of the Quebec Order of Engineers
  • ASP construction certification
  • Possession of a valid class 5 driver's license for client interactions across the region
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong affinity for teamwork
  • Fluent in French, both written and spoken, with good command of English for professional dialogue
  • Exemplary team spirit and commitment to transparency
  • Strong organizational skills, structure, and independence
