Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at Heritage Inn Hotel & Convention Centre in Pincher Creek, Alberta. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all maintenance tasks within the hotel, ensuring that all interior and exterior areas are kept safe and well-maintained.
  • Carry out repairs on hotel equipment and buildings, and ensure that all maintenance requests are dealt with promptly.
  • Coordinate daily activities and schedules of all maintenance staff, and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure cleanliness and chemical upkeep of the pool and hot tub, and maintain a safe and organized maintenance shop.
  • Inform the General Manager of all deficiencies that could result in issues, and provide regular updates on maintenance activities.
  • Obtain quotes and coordinate the activities of outside contractors, and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Attend department head meetings as required, and contribute to the development of maintenance policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year experience in a maintenance related position, with a strong background in facilities management.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform physical labor and lift heavy objects, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Hotel and/or management experience an asset, with a strong understanding of the tourism industry and attractions in the immediate area.
