Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver one-on-one and group recreation and leisure programs/activities to clients, tailored to their unique needs and abilities.
- Assess clients' recreation and leisure needs, creating and coordinating therapeutic recreation plans that promote their well-being and independence.
- Evaluate program outcomes and objectives to ensure the highest level of care and quality of life for our clients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social agencies, and recreational groups to resolve client program issues and ensure seamless care.
- Contribute to the organization and delivery of Recreation Therapy services, participating in quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education.
- Casual employment with flexible hours, ranging from 0 to 37.5 hours per week, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
- Day shift hours from 08:00 to 16:00, providing a convenient schedule for our team members.
- Career growth opportunities, with casual roles serving as a stepping stone to internal postings for permanent part-time or full-time positions.
- Opportunities to work with Interior Health, a leader in healthcare services, and contribute to the well-being of our clients and community.
- Graduation from a recognized diploma or degree program in Recreational Therapy, plus two years recent related experience.
- Eligibility for professional membership with the B.C. Therapeutic Recreation Association (BCTRA).
- A current valid BC driver's license.
