About the Role:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Corporate Lawyer to join our client's legal team in Toronto. The ideal candidate will possess 6-8 years of strong corporate and/or commercial experience, preferably in the technology space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support to the corporate team on a range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and commercial contracts.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of corporate documents, including articles of incorporation, bylaws, and shareholder agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement corporate strategies and policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in corporate law and regulations, and provide guidance to the team on compliance matters.

Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of experience in corporate law, preferably in the technology space.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law and regulations, including securities law and corporate governance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external clients.
