Job SummaryWe are seeking a talented Design Manager to join our team and be a part of something extraordinary. As the standard-bearer for client expectations, the Design Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the design phase of projects, guiding a team of talented design professionals, and ensuring the successful execution of projects at MAC.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the design team, providing direction, mentorship, and support.
- Onboard, train, and mentor new Design Department employees.
- Provide construction feedback, quarterly conversations, and performance evaluations as per company SOPs.
- Conduct weekly meetings with direct reports and create a cadence of accountability.
- Manage department workload, assign teams, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Oversee Company profit center.
- Oversee Millwork.
- Continually improve department workflow, processes, and systems.
- Work closely with the production and sales team to align design specifications with project budgets.
- Validate the accuracy of designs before submission to the clients.
- Ensure all processes align with company goals and client expectations.
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Registered Interior Designer or equivalent designation a plus.
- 10 years of experience in design-related field, preferably within the residential sector.
- 5 years in leadership role (Managerial/Supervisor).
- Tech-savvy with construction management software.
- Technical Design problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- $100,000-$115,000 CAD annually (depending on experience).
