Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time on-site Junior Legal Counsel at our St John's office in Newfoundland. The ideal candidate will possess 1-7 years of experience in either corporate law or litigation and will demonstrate a strong desire to deepen their knowledge in commercial and business law, including commercial litigation. The Junior Legal Counsel will be tasked with conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, representing clients in court, providing legal counsel aligned with their experience, and collaborating with our partners on various corporate law matters.

Required Qualifications
- Proficient in legal research, writing, and document drafting
- Experience in courtroom litigation and client representation; we welcome candidates with diverse litigation backgrounds who can adapt to our practice
- Legal advisory and negotiation skills reflective of prior experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A law degree from an accredited Canadian law school or NCA Certificate with foreign equivalency
- Eligibility for membership in the Newfoundland and Labrador Law Society
