Job Title: Director, Special Projects

Job Summary:

The Director, Special Projects will lead the development and implementation of strategic and operational projects across Fraser Health Authority (FHA). This role will involve large-scale reviews of practices, procedures, and systems, leading to enhanced integration of services, improved customer satisfaction, and cost-efficiencies for FHA and partner organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project charters and plans, decision support, health planning, and climate assessment
  • Provide leadership in project management, including establishing project scope, timelines, and critical path
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, engage resources, facilitate project activities, and monitor progress
  • Ensure effective processes are in place to assess project risks, identify mitigation strategies, and monitor risk throughout the project lifecycle
  • Develop and manage project budgets, lead multidisciplinary project teams, and foster effective relationships across FHA
  • Develop and strengthen external linkages with community, government, education institutes, and other health-related organizations

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Health Services Administration, Business Administration, or related field
  • More than 10 years' recent experience in hospital budgeting, strategic and operational project management, and consultation processes
  • Current registration with relevant professional College/Association, if applicable
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
