Job Title: Director, Special Projects

Job Summary:

The Director, Special Projects will lead the development and implementation of strategic and operational projects across Fraser Health Authority (FHA). This role will involve large-scale reviews of practices, procedures, and systems to enhance integration of services, improve customer satisfaction, and deliver cost-efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project charters and plans, decision support, health planning, and climate assessment.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project resources to ensure timely and budget-friendly completion of project scope.
  • Lead project work groups and committees, and serve as the key point person for integrating project findings and recommendations.
  • Liaise with senior leaders, stakeholders, and external agencies to consult, negotiate, and ensure commitment to project goals.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, and ensure effective processes are in place to assess project risks and identify mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams, set priorities, assign work, and monitor progress to ensure teams meet deadlines and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Health Services Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
  • More than 10 years of recent, related experience in hospital budgeting, strategic and operational project management, and consultation processes with various stakeholder groups.
  • Current registration with relevant professional College/Association, if applicable.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
