Exciting Opportunity: Become a vital part of the Corporation of the Town of Ajax, a vibrant municipality located along the scenic shores of Lake Ontario. We are seeking a Part-Time Activities Coordinator to manage enjoyable and interactive drop-in programs catering to children, youth, and adults.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and execution of safe and varied recreational programs
  • Lead and facilitate program activities
  • Guide and support volunteers
  • Maintain schedules and oversee program participants
  • Communicate effectively with participants and team members
  • Ensure program equipment is safe and properly maintained
  • Foster a positive and inclusive program atmosphere
  • Perform administrative duties as required
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Prior experience in recreational environments
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • First Aid and HIGH FIVE certifications
  • Clear Criminal Reference Check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly Pay Rate: $19.56
  • Up to 24 hours of work per week
