Food Service Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Second Cup. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our café, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food and beverage offerings meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management and cost control decisions.
- Prepare food order summaries for the chef, ensuring that all orders are accurate and complete.
- Supervise and check the delivery of food trolleys, ensuring that all food is delivered to the correct location and in a timely manner.
- Establish work schedules to ensure that all staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
- Permanent work term.
- English language proficiency.
- 30 hours per week.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
Café environment.
