BGIS ITS Canada Ltd., a branch of BGIS, is in search of a skilled Building Automation Systems Technician.
The Building Automation Systems Technician plays a crucial role in the upkeep and servicing of Building Automation Systems (BAS) within client facilities. Responsibilities include visiting client sites to execute service and preventive maintenance tasks, programming, downloading, and installing BAS-related hardware and software, creating customized graphical user interfaces, and implementing initiatives aimed at energy and operational optimization.
Key Responsibilities- Foster and maintain strong working relationships with clients and team members, ensuring effective communication.
- Design and execute project and service strategies to achieve annual performance targets.
- Plan, develop, and mentor field team members in alignment with the BAS Manager's objectives.
- Participate in the recruitment and training of qualified personnel.
- Assist in expanding the BAS service client base.
- Support the execution of construction project scopes and service-related deliverables.
- Program and configure HVAC equipment using software, ensuring system performance is verified.
- Integrate building automation software with third-party systems through network connections.
- Simulate operational sequences to confirm the correct parameters and performance of systems using necessary software.
- Conduct testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of low-voltage power equipment and systems, including network communications, peripherals, valves, actuators, relays, and sensors during commissioning.
