Job Summary

Lakeridge Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Pharmacy leadership team, you will be responsible for the management of daily operations in the Pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations in the Pharmacy department, including drug distribution, medication management, and narcotic and controlled substance oversight.
  • Develop and implement department processes to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Manage staff and provide leadership to ensure the achievement of business goals, including increased operational efficiencies and optimizing interdisciplinary team functioning.
  • Ensure adherence to legislation and professional standards, and maintain high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent entry-to-practice degree).
  • Current registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy hospital practice with supervisory, management, or leadership experience.
  • Advanced Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D) from a recognized university, an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management, leadership skills, project management skills.
  • Excellent change management, organizational planning, assessment and evaluation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with health care professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead effectively and create a high-performance culture through management strategies that facilitate growth and development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hospital functions and current trends in health care.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a unionized environment.
  • Proven conflict management/resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to critically analyze and problem-solve.
  • Understanding of Accreditation Canada and Ontario College of Pharmacists Hospital Inspection standards and processes.
  • Experience with budgets and monitoring costs associated with pharmaceutical projections and utilization.
