Alamos Gold Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our maintenance team at Young-Davidson, a low-cost, long-life underground gold mine in Ontario, Canada.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a full range of maintenance, repair, and service activities on heavy equipment, including mobile mining equipment, heavy trucks, and other machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and diagnose faults in mobile mining equipment and heavy trucks
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting on heavy equipment
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Adjust and repair equipment, and replace defective parts and components
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical experience in underground mining operations
  • Ontario or inter-provincial trade qualification preferred
  • Strong safety focus and ability to work independently
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
