Job Title: Lead Application Engineer

Newlands Group is seeking a proficient Lead Application Engineer with extensive knowledge in trading systems to oversee the application support team for our client’s platform. This position entails close cooperation with our international offices to guarantee effective support and integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Direct the support team to uphold platform performance, availability, and dependability.
  2. Deliver expert-level assistance and resolve intricate issues related to trading systems.
  3. Work in conjunction with development and product teams to tackle application challenges.
  4. Establish and manage incident and problem management protocols.
  5. Develop and sustain documentation, including support methodologies.
  6. Guide and educate support team members.
  7. Examine support metrics to identify trends and propose enhancements.
  8. Engage effectively with clients regarding support inquiries and solutions.
Qualifications:
  1. Expertise in Python is mandatory.
  2. Demonstrated leadership, management, and mentorship experience required.
  3. Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
  4. 5+ years of experience in application support, particularly in trading systems.
  5. Familiarity with application monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance enhancement.
  6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Experience with financial risk management software is advantageous.
  8. Understanding of AWS platforms and services.
