We are seeking a skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring the continuum of care with other healthcare providers within the practice and community.
- Be accountable for an appropriate workload and practice, meeting the needs of the community.
- Provide care and coordination of community-based care, secondary, and tertiary level healthcare services.
- Build capacity within the first two years, meeting the needs of the community.
- Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority.
- Work towards same-day or next-day access for the practice population.
- Collaborate with other team members to best suit the community's health needs.
- Work with other providers to provide after-hours access and emergency coverage when required.
- Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities.
- Utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR accessible to all collaborating team members.
- Full-time
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
