About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Tanoor Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our culinary team and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Training: Supervise and train cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to prepare and cook food to the highest standard.
  • Menu Planning and Quality Control: Plan menus and ensure that food meets quality standards, taking into account customer preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions, ensuring that dishes are presented to a high standard.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that the kitchen is well-stocked and that waste is minimized.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
