JOB OVERVIEW

The Regional Sales Executive at ALMAG, reporting to the Executive Vice President, is accountable for driving sales performance and maximizing gross margin. This role collaborates closely with Inside Sales and Customer Service teams to foster growth and maintain customer relationships within the designated region. The Regional Sales Executive will work in conjunction with the Sales Team and Production Team to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of the Regional Sales Executive include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer retention and satisfaction, leading to increased sales.
  • Design and implement a business development strategy tailored to the unique needs of the territory.
  • Conduct regular travel within the assigned region to engage with potential and existing customers.
  • Maintain up-to-date records in the CRM system, documenting insights and interactions with clients.
  • Coordinate sales efforts and service initiatives with Inside Sales Representatives.
  • Utilize consultative selling techniques to provide value-added solutions to clients.
  • Recommend design modifications to enhance product functionality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assess and qualify prospective customers.
  • Gather and report on market trends, quality standards, and competitive landscape.
  • Engage in the sales planning process alongside the Sales Manager, contributing to budget and forecast development.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to establish pricing strategies and policies.
  • Strive to consistently meet and exceed annual sales targets for the territory.
  • Ensure adherence to all quality assurance policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary education with a focus on business, mathematics, quality, or technical fields is preferred.
  • A background in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous but not mandatory.

Skills and Competencies

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in an industrial setting is required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with effective public speaking abilities.
  • Proficiency in using computers, understanding measurements, tolerances, and basic geometry, as well as the ability to interpret blueprints.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are necessary.
  • High energy, a positive outlook, and the ability to work independently are essential traits.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team are crucial.
  • Empathy and self-assurance will contribute to success in this role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are required.
