Job Summary
Radiant Care Pleasant Manor is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team in the Nursing department. As a RPN, you will be responsible for providing safe and efficient personal care for residents, including all activities of daily living, to ensure their optimum physical, social, recreational, spiritual, and psychological well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized service in a home-like setting, adapting to the changing needs of residents and adjusting service delivery as required under the direction of the ADOC/DOC.
- Effectively communicate with residents, staff, and families, providing excellent customer service in a respectful, courteous, and pleasant manner.
- Observe and report changes in resident's status, recording necessary data on resident health and provision of service.
- Share responsibility for care of equipment in the home and personal belongings of residents, working co-operatively with team members.
- Receive direction from registered staff, participate in quality improvement activities, in-service sessions, and training as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Practical Nurse in the province of Ontario.
- A member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Training and education in caring for seniors in long term care.
- Demonstrated experience in caring for seniors in long term care.
- Demonstrated experience in documentation and care planning.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Computer skills.
