About the Role:

VenorTalent is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Architect to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the design and definition of cybersecurity processes, tools, systems, and enhancements of existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies to protect our organization's assets and infrastructure
  • Provide direction, knowledge, and guidance to our Information Systems team to ensure the most secure implementation of systems, network, and information security systems
  • Collaborate with our Technology and Infrastructure, Business Solutions teams to ensure cybersecurity processes are adhered to when implementing technology
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with technology vendors and solutions providers
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments on systems, networks, and applications
  • Collaborate with our IT teams to address and remediate identified vulnerabilities in a timely manner
  • Work with our Information Systems and City departments to initiate, participate in and manage projects relating to our organization's cybersecurity posture
  • Lead and assist our Information Systems teams in researching and evaluating cybersecurity solutions
  • Implement, monitor, and maintain endpoint security software platforms and endpoint agents
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing education and research, reviewing of professional publications, and participating in professional societies
  • Train our city staff on cybersecurity best practices and promote a culture of security awareness

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of direct cybersecurity large organization experience with 5+ years of progressively senior-level experience in planning, deploying and managing enterprise technologies including information security, risk management, enterprise cloud solutions
  • A university degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
  • Experience with project management and leading medium to large-scale information systems projects
  • Experience leading or participating in internal cybersecurity audits
  • Knowledge of enterprise architectural frameworks
  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise systems, networking, and software integration
  • Knowledge through experience planning, managing, and/or administering:
    • Windows Server, Active Directory, ADFS
    • Microsoft 365 / Azure AD
    • Enterprise networking
    • Virtualized systems including cloud environments
  • A strong ability to influence, teach and communicate on an appropriate technical level with all levels within the organization
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to communicate in the French language would be an asset
  • CISSP certification would be an asset
