About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at TKR Restaurant West Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
    • Portion and wrap foods
    • Package take-out food
    • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
  • Kitchen Maintenance and Sanitation
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
    • Handle and store cleaning products
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash
    • Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
    • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
  • Team Support and Development
    • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
    • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
    • Manage kitchen operations
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • Experience an asset
  • Availability and Language
    • Available for shift or on-call work
    • Available for the advertised start date
    • Legally able to work in Canada
    • Fluent in English
