Job Title: Public Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Public Health Nurse to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting and protecting the health of our communities.

Job Summary:

The Public Health Nurse will provide clinical advice, support, mentorship, and education to personnel responsible for delivering public health services in Primary Care Homes and interprofessional teams. This includes assessing, planning, organizing, managing, and evaluating public health support, as well as monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on public health key indicators.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical advice and support to personnel responsible for delivering public health services
  • Develop and implement public health programs and services
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of public health programs and services
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to public health
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community organizations to promote public health
Requirements:
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
  • Two (2) years recent, related public health nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Current BCCDC Immunization Certification
  • Current CPR certification at the basic life support level
  • Class V Driver's License
