The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Instructor I/II to join our team at the NS Health Learning Institute for Health Care Providers. As a key member of our interprofessional practice and learning team, you will play a vital role in creating a culture of learning and promoting accountable professional practice in quality practice environments.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the implementation of entry-level and specialty level educational programming in accordance with the Learning Institute's educational framework and provincial mandate.
- Facilitate learning according to the prescribed curriculum and work collaboratively with the Nurse Educator and Nursing Instructor IV to provide educational programming for nursing and interprofessional programs.
- Practice according to the Registered Nurses Act, Nova Scotia College of Nursing, and Standards of Practice of Registered Nurses.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced nursing professional who possesses a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and education. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, an active practicing license in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of Nurses, and a certificate course or CNA certification in medical-surgical nursing. Additionally, the candidate should have a minimum of two years' recent and continuous clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing and experience with classroom, online, and skill/simulation teaching.
What We OfferWe offer a competitive salary of $54.12 hourly, with the potential for an increase to $56.01 hourly with 25 years' nursing experience. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborate with interprofessional groups of learners and employees, and develop strong working relationships with key partners.
