Job Title: Cook

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Quesada Burritos & Tacos (Embrun). As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient operations
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Manage kitchen operations to meet quality and productivity standards
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Standing for extended periods and ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Reliability, judgement, and team player skills
  • Support for newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition
  • Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth
  • Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities
Working Conditions:
  • Permanent position
  • 30 hours per week
