About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Nursery Labourer to join our team at Clearview Horticultural Products Inc. as part of our Greenhouse Operations department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain the greenhouse and surrounding areas to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Assist in the production of high-quality floriculture crops, including perennials, bedding plants, and seasonal plants.
  • Perform tasks such as cleaning crops, greenhouse cleaning, harvesting seedlings, seed cutting, weeding, and assisting in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants.
  • Mix and prepare soils, plant bulbs and seeds, pot and re-pot plants, transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings, and water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to achieve daily and weekly production goals.
  • Participate in quality control measures to ensure high-quality products.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train on the job.
  • Physical Demands: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and attention to detail.
  • Work Conditions: Wet/damp, odours, hot, and cold/refrigerated environments.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
