Job Summary
We are seeking an Apprentice Service Technician to join our team at Survitec. As an Apprentice Service Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of safety equipment, including weighing and repackaging equipment. You will also be responsible for inspecting first aid kits and attending to assigned MES deployments/exchanges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of safety equipment, including weighing and repackaging equipment.
- Inspect first aid kits to ensure all items are up-to-date and functional.
- Attend to assigned MES deployments/exchanges to meet established targets.
- Provide suggestions for enhancing products and processes.
- Complete assigned daily tasks to meet productivity goals.
- Document and report inspection and test results, then submit them to the admin team for processing.
Requirements:
- Experience in mechanical, maintenance, or electrical roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Valid BC Driver's License and government-issued passport.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong commitment to meeting work schedules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed.
- Capability to obtain a government-controlled Port Pass and meet Marine Transportation Security Clearance (MTSC) requirements.
- Flexibility to work weekends when required.
- Availability to work overtime as necessary to meet service, maintenance, or repair deadlines.
