We are currently recruiting for a highly skilled Apprentice Service Technician to join our Marine team based in Vancouver. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient deployment of Marine Evacuation Systems (MES).
Key Responsibilities:
- Unpack, test, weigh, and repackage safety products to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Inspect and maintain first aid kits to guarantee their functionality and compliance.
- Complete assigned MES deployments/exchanges to meet service targets and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to enhance products and processes, contributing to our commitment to innovation and excellence.
- Document and submit inspection and test results for administrative processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with our team to maintain a fast-paced, dynamic environment focused on personal and professional growth.
About You:
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in mechanical, maintenance, or electrical roles, with a strong understanding of safety protocols.
- High School Diploma or equivalent education, with a focus on technical skills.
- Valid BC Driver's License and government-issued passport, with the ability to travel locally and internationally as needed.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, with a strong commitment to meeting work schedules.
- Flexibility to work weekends when required, with a willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed.
- Ability to obtain a government-controlled Port Pass and meet Marine Transportation Security Clearance (MTSC) requirements.
