Bakery Team Member

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Sweet Capone's Italian Bakery and Cannoli Shop. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
- Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, such as baked goods and snacks.
- Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that all waste is disposed of properly.
- Housekeeping: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and maintain the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas.
- Food Handling: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, and handle food in a safe and sanitary manner.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Experience: Experience is an asset, but not necessary.
- Work Language: English
- Work Term: Permanent
- Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week
