As a Character Concept Artist at Ubisoft Entertainment, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the artistic vision for our games. You will produce artwork that serves as a reference point, guiding the visual direction throughout the development process.
Your Role
- Collaborate closely with the art director to establish the overarching vision for the game, including tone, atmosphere, and character emotional depth.
- Generate sketches and rapid iterations, utilizing both digital and traditional mediums.
- Develop character concepts based on existing references or original ideas.
- Present your concepts to the artistic team and engage in discussions about potential directions.
- Incorporate feedback to refine your artwork.
- Balance artistic creativity with technical limitations.
- Enhance your concept art into detailed illustrations by layering intricate details.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in concept art within the video game sector or related fields.
- Proficiency in digital painting and familiarity with 3D software (e.g., 3DS Max).
- Strong grasp of fundamental art principles, including lighting, composition, architecture, and anatomy.
