IT Security Specialist

Descartes is seeking a highly skilled IT Security Specialist I to join our team. As a key member of our Information Security team, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of a global-level information security management system.
This role requires a strong understanding of risk identification, risk treatment, and risk registers. You will work closely with the Manager of Information Security to ensure the effective implementation of our information security policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a global-level information security management system
- Lead the development and maintenance of information security policies and procedures
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with global IT Pillars to achieve security and compliance goals
- Participate in education and awareness programs related to compliance and security
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of information security best practices and risk management
- Experience in developing and implementing information security policies and procedures
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 CAD and a comprehensive benefits package. This is a remote opportunity, open to applicants authorized to work in Canada.
