Job Title: IT Security Specialist I

Descartes is seeking a highly skilled IT Security Specialist I to join our team. As a key member of our Information Security team, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of a global-level information security management system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive information security management system to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Design and implement security controls, including access controls, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry best practices.
  • Participate in incident response and crisis management activities to ensure timely and effective response to security incidents.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of information security principles, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with security frameworks, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
  • Knowledge of cloud security, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with security tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security information and event management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
