Job Summary

As a key member of the EightSix Network team, the Assistant Chief Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the engineering and maintenance teams, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning properly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of engineering and maintenance staff to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent equipment failures and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all facilities and equipment are properly maintained and upgraded as needed.
  • Develop and manage budgets for maintenance and repairs, ensuring that costs are minimized and resources are allocated effectively.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed, and that all staff are aware of their responsibilities in maintaining a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 4 years of experience in engineering and maintenance or related field; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing preferred.
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in building and construction, engineering, or related field; 2 years of experience in engineering and maintenance or related field; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $61,000 to $84,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. EightSix Network offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan and paid time off.
