We are seeking a highly motivated Research & Learning Specialist to join our team in a transformative project focused on advancing inclusive education for young people with disabilities in Ethiopia and Africa. This partnership with the University of Gondar, supported by The Mastercard Foundation, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful change.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive support, management, and monitoring of research projects.
  • Conduct thorough literature searches and data analysis.
  • Collaborate in the development of robust research study protocols.
  • Coordinate effectively with the project team and external partners.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations.
  • Contribute to academic publications and training initiatives.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops and conferences.
  • Provide valuable support for research funding opportunities.
  • Actively contribute to departmental goals and performance.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree with proven research experience.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of research methodologies and ethical considerations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and relevant research tools.

Decision Making

  • Recommend strategic plans and responses to challenges.
  • Coordinate research activities and ensure adherence to deadlines.
  • Assess issues and refer them appropriately to senior leadership.
