**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Research Specialist to join our team at Finlink Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough research on accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws to provide accurate and informative content to our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Research: Conduct thorough research on IFRS, US GAAP, ASPE policy changes, and Canadian tax rule updates to stay current with emerging trends and developments in accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Analyze and Interpret: Analyze and interpret complex accounting standards and regulations to provide accurate and informative content to our audience.
  • Draft Summaries: Draft detailed and engaging narrative-style summaries of technical accounting updates to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with Team: Collaborate with the content team to ensure accuracy and clarity of information.
  • Develop Educational Materials: Assist in the development of educational materials and resources for our platform.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting at a Canadian University. Preference will be given to third-year students.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards (IFRS, US GAAP, ASPE).
  • Research and Analytical Skills: Excellent research and analytical skills to conduct thorough research and analyze complex accounting standards and regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Superior written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills:

  • Canadian Tax Regulations: Familiarity with Canadian tax regulations.
  • Technical Writing: Experience in technical writing or creating educational content.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Knowledge of accounting IFRS, US GAAP, and ASPE.
  • Research Tools: Be able to independently research tools.
