Become a part of the Policy Results and Operations team, a vital collaborator with the Department of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada in shaping federal housing policy.

We leverage data to drive evidence-based policy outcomes and enhance the operational efficiency of the policy function.

Please note that there are two (2) positions available: one (1) permanent role and one (1) temporary role until December 2025.

Operational requirements typically necessitate team members to be accessible Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST.

Assist in crafting solutions to intricate measurement inquiries, collaborating with colleagues to develop data and analytics tools aimed at evaluating and forecasting the performance of housing investments.

Formulate comprehensive recommendations and guidance for senior management and government regarding federal housing policy, program options, performance, and outcomes.

Support informed decisions on housing policy in Canada through rigorous quantitative analysis and the application of business intelligence.
Collaborate with others to enhance data accessibility for analyzing the results of federal housing investments.

Maintain strong relationships with CMHC's portfolio department and the Department of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities, addressing a wide range of requests related to housing policy, results, and data sharing.

A bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Economics or social sciences, coupled with five years of relevant experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform policies, programs, and strategies.

An equivalent combination of education and/or experience in public policy or a related field may be considered.
Familiarity with performance measurement methods, techniques, and practices, as well as Treasury Board guidelines on results.
Proficiency in quantitative modeling and business intelligence techniques and practices, along with knowledge of data analysis and manipulation methods, theories, and practices.

Exceptional ability to convey complex data analyses into clear, concise messages and recommendations for diverse audiences.

Proficiency in statistical tools, methodologies, or data tools, including PowerBI.
