The position is based in a dynamic setting such as a hotel, motel, or resort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing floors and hallways
  • Utilize industrial vacuum cleaners to remove dirt, debris, and refuse
  • Manage waste by emptying trash cans and other containers
  • Ensure cleanliness of windows, interior walls, and ceilings
  • Conduct minor repairs on heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems; liaise with tradespersons for major repairs
  • Coordinate with contractors for ongoing maintenance and repairs
  • Perform minor appliance repairs
  • Conduct safety and security inspections
  • Oversee and guide other maintenance staff
  • Assist in moving heavy furniture and equipment
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repairs
  • Care for plants, lawns, and gardens

  • Clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
