Senior Planner/Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner/Project Manager to join our Urban and Community Planning practice in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a wide range of municipal planning policy and land development projects. You will work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment, collaborating with experts from various business lines to provide planning services that support active projects.

Key Responsibilities- Preparing policy and zoning reviews for municipal and development clients.
- Preparing municipal planning documents, such as municipal plans, zoning/land use by-laws, and secondary plans.
- Conducting research and presenting planning analyses.
- Obtaining planning and development approvals.
- Organizing and facilitating public and stakeholder engagement processes.
- Coordinating with multiple disciplines and regions across Canada.
- Leading and coordinating proposals for internal and external clients.
- Carrying out business development and client service tasks.
- Fulfilling project management tasks and responsibilities.
- University degree in Planning.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in a municipal or consulting environment.
- Full membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners.
- Ability to support and grow our local Atlantic Canadian team through ongoing business development efforts.
- Designation as a Project Management Professional (PMP) will be considered an asset.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, query, analyze, and effectively communicate information.
- Demonstrated skills in project management, including management of multi-disciplinary teams.
- Highly motivated, organized, flexible, enthusiastic team player committed to upholding our reputation for delivering high-quality service.
- Excellent written and oral communication and time management skills.
- Valid Nova Scotia Driver's License.
- Bilingualism is considered an asset.
