We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at our Richmond, BC branch.

About the Role

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of construction equipment, including earth-moving equipment, compaction equipment, and aerial equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose equipment malfunctions
  • Make required repairs and test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Maintain documentation of inspections, maintenance, and work orders
  • Adhere to all company Health and Safety Policies

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of mechanical experience, preferably working on a variety of construction equipment
  • A valid Class 5 license with a clean or satisfactory driver's abstract
  • A complete set of tools (or working on building a complete toolset)
  • Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools
  • Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, and motors
  • Flexibility and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment
