Experience Requirements

  • Recent hands-on clinical experience may be necessary.

Educational Background

  • Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.

Licensure and Certifications

  • Certification in IV Therapy and IV Medication Administration.
  • Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba.
  • Training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Skills and Qualifications

  • Understanding of nursing standards and ethical practices.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Preference for fluency in an Indigenous language.
  • Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to prioritize and delegate nursing care.
  • Flexibility and ability to manage stress effectively.
  • Competence in using computer software applications.

Physical Demands

  • Maintaining good physical and mental health.
  • Capacity to perform moderate to heavy physical tasks.
  • Availability for rotating shifts and weekend duties.
