About Our Opportunity
In this role, reporting to the Manager of Film Fund, the Film Fund Coordinator will be instrumental in the effective review and processing of claims related to our film incentive programs. This includes the Nova Scotia Film & Television Production Incentive Fund (NSFTPIF). The Coordinator will ensure exceptional customer service through prompt follow-ups and responsiveness to inquiries, maintaining a high standard of quality in the adjudication of claims.
The Coordinator will manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, providing expert support and guidance regarding Film Funding claims.
Primary Responsibilities
- Organize and send reminders to clients for claim submissions based on established timelines.
- Monitor program communications for claims applications and inquiries, ensuring proper organization of claim packages.
- Review claim submissions for completeness and compliance with requirements.
- Input data into the tracking system to maintain accurate records of applications and claims.
- Oversee the progress of files to ensure adherence to target dates.
- Develop and recommend best practices for program improvements.
Qualifications and Experience
A degree from a post-secondary institution in finance, accounting, or a related field is required, preferably obtained within the last three years. Familiarity with the film and television industry in the province is an asset.
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret financial statements.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Client-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage financial discrepancies.
