About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Forensic Accountant to join our team at the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). As a key member of our Audit and Financial Investigations (AFI) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our regulatory processes and protecting the public interest.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct complex forensic examinations, due diligence, and investigations to identify and mitigate regulatory risks.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective and timely investigations.
  • Provide expert forensic accounting advice to support audit teams and inform regulatory decisions.
  • Lead and contribute to practice development activities to enhance our audit and investigation capabilities.
Requirements
  • Professional accounting and forensic accounting designations (CPA; CFF and/or CFE).
  • Demonstrated experience conducting financial reviews and investigations.
  • Strong case management skills and ability to deliver quality results within expected timelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a proven record of building strong working relationships with colleagues, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to write formal reports and provide expert testimony in legal proceedings.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada and willingness to undergo a criminal background check.
