About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Forensic Accountant to join our team at the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). As a key member of our Financial Investigations Unit, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our regulatory processes and protecting the public interest.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct complex forensic examinations and investigations to identify and prevent financial irregularities and misconduct in the gaming, liquor, and cannabis sectors.
  • Collaborate with our Enforcement Bureau staff to ensure effective and timely investigations.
  • Provide expert forensic accounting advice to our audit teams and Licensing and Registration Branch staff on financial and governance issues.
  • Lead and contribute to practice development activities to enhance our investigative capabilities.
Requirements
  • Professional accounting and forensic accounting designations (CPA; CFF and/or CFE).
  • Demonstrated experience conducting financial reviews and investigations.
  • Strong case management skills and ability to deliver quality results within expected timelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with a proven record of building solid working relationships with colleagues, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to write formal reports and provide expert testimony in legal proceedings.
