Experienced Piping Specialist

Overview

The Experienced Piping Specialist is tasked with the assembly and installation of piping systems and components according to engineering drawings and project requirements. This role involves constructing piping systems for various applications including water, chemicals, and fuel, along with conducting system tests. Candidates with hands-on workshop experience are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construct piping and equipment supports, brackets, and guides
  • Prepare and fit piping for welding connections
  • Coordinate with other trades and professionals
  • Maintain and repair plumbing and heating systems
  • Execute filter replacements and routine maintenance
  • Interpret and analyze technical drawings and blueprints
  • Measure, cut, weld, and install piping elements
  • Conduct leak tests on systems
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of pipe units
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations
  • Carry out additional tasks as required

Qualifications, Skills, & Competencies

  • Steamfitter – Pipefitter Red Seal Certificate is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Pipefitter
  • First-aid certification is advantageous
  • Proficient in safe equipment operation
  • Strong communication and time management abilities
  • Valid Driver's license is necessary
  • Willingness to adapt and learn proactively
  • Demonstrates respect and conflict avoidance

Work Environment

  • Utilization of tools and handling of objects weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Personal Protective Equipment is mandatory
  • Exposure to industry-related hazards
