Starbucks Department Manager - Full Time

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Manager to lead our team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruit, develop, and motivate Team Members to achieve exceptional results
  2. Lead, coach, and train Team Members to maintain high productivity and engagement levels
  3. Resolve Team Member and customer issues promptly and effectively
  4. Ensure adherence to merchandising and operational standards
  5. Uphold company policies and procedures, including health and safety, food safety, and loss prevention
  6. Manage inventory, scheduling, and financial objectives
  7. Implement initiatives to support company goals
  8. Monitor local competitors and adapt to market conditions
  9. Provide exceptional customer service to Team Members, customers, and vendors

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in a Starbucks department with management experience and product knowledge
  2. Thorough understanding of financials with a proven track record of delivering on financial targets
  3. Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new systems
  4. Understanding of Employment Standards, WHMIS, Food Safety, and Loss Prevention practices
  5. Ability to role model and inspire behavior consistent with our values
  6. Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  7. Ownership to resolve issues with a sense of urgency
  8. Effective communication and listening skills
  9. Strong creativity skills and ability to create eye-catching displays
  10. Work is performed in a store retail environment
  11. Must be available to work days, evenings, and weekends
  12. Travel is required to support off-site events
