Logistics Dispatch Specialist
CB Canada is seeking a Logistics Dispatch Specialist for a contract position.

Position Overview

The Logistics Dispatch Specialist plays a crucial role in the daily management of fluid transportation plans within the Transportation & Logistics division, specifically catering to Heavy Oil and Gas operations. This involves the movement of various fluids from extraction sites to designated disposal or processing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and validate load plans for both day and night operations, ensuring alignment with carrier capabilities and facility constraints.
  • Oversee the coordination of disposal and facility utilization in collaboration with production teams and transport carriers, adhering to established operational guidelines.
  • Track inventory levels to ensure compliance with departmental targets.
  • Work closely with the Transportation & Logistics Supervisor and Field Area Advisors to enhance fluid movement efficiency and develop strategic load plans. Engage in ongoing analysis and scenario planning.
  • Execute the Logistics Emergency Response Protocol in the event of incidents.

Essential Qualifications
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in fluid transportation.
  • Familiarity with legal land descriptions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and facilitation skills.
  • Highly motivated with a positive attitude and a willingness to expand responsibilities.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Capable of fostering positive professional relationships with operators, carriers, and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in safety protocols.
  • Relevant post-secondary education or technical diploma.
  • Certification in Incident Investigation.
  • Completion of safety training and courses.
  • Prior experience working with Operations and Fluid Haulers.
  • Auditing experience or certification is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems is a plus.

Contract Duration
6 months.
