Job Description

CB Canada is seeking a skilled Dispatch Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Transportation & Logistics team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of fluid movement load plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop Load Plans: Create and verify load plans for night and day shifts, ensuring optimal fluid movement and balancing facility capacities and carrier availability.
  • Coordinate Disposal and Facility Capacity: Collaborate with production operations and carriers to optimize fluid movement processes, targets, and load plans.
  • Monitor Inventories: Track inventory levels to meet Transportation department targets.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with Supervisors and Field Area Advisors to improve fluid movement processes and targets.
  • Implement Emergency Response Procedures: Respond to accidents or incidents by implementing Logistics Emergency Response Procedures.
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Fluid Hauling Experience: Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in fluid hauling-related roles.
  • Knowledge of Legal Land Descriptions: Understand legal land descriptions.
  • Advanced Computer Skills: Possess advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership and Decision-Making Skills: Exhibit leadership, decision-making, and facilitation skills.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Be highly motivated, with a positive attitude and a desire to grow job responsibility.
  • Establish and Maintain Relationships: Establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships with operators, carriers, and coworkers.
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Previous Safety Experience: Possess previous safety experience.
  • Related Post-Secondary Education: Hold a related post-secondary education or diploma from a technical school.
  • Incident Investigation Certification: Possess incident investigation certification.
  • Safety Courses and Training: Have completed safety courses and training.
  • Prior Work with Operations and Fluid Haulers: Have prior work experience with operations and fluid haulers.
  • Auditing Experience and Certification: Possess auditing experience and certification.
  • Working Knowledge of SCADA: Have a working knowledge of SCADA.
