We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our team as a Strategic Education Manager at the Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging (RIA). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to our educational programs, ensuring their alignment with our organizational goals and priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to a team of professionals, ensuring the successful development and implementation of educational resources and programs.
- Curriculum Design and Development: Develop and maintain quality standards for educational resources, including e-learning, instructor-led, and online learning environments, ensuring they meet adult learning principles and best practices.
- Knowledge Mobilization and Partner Engagement: Establish and maintain partnerships with external and internal partners to support the development, implementation, and delivery of educational projects, ensuring they align with our goals and priorities.
- Budget Management: Manage multiple project budgets, providing regular reporting of expenditures to leadership and funding agencies, ensuring all spending is in alignment with RIA policies and funder guidelines.
- Communication and Reporting: Develop and maintain strong written and verbal communication skills, presenting and discussing matters with partners through various virtual and in-person events and meetings.
- Education: University degree in education, pedagogy, or instructional design, with training or equivalent experience in project management, evaluation, and/or knowledge mobilization.
- Skills and Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience providing strategic direction and leadership to projects, with a minimum of 3 years of experience leading and supervising a project team, managing project budgets, and working with online learning environments.
- Additional Requirements: Demonstrated knowledge of educational development tools, best practices for adult education, and group facilitation, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.
