About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Audio Artist to join our team at Electronic Arts. As an Audio Artist, you will be responsible for creating high-quality audio assets for our video games.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement audio systems for our games, ensuring a seamless and immersive experience for players.
- Collaborate with the development team to integrate audio assets into the game engine.
- Develop and maintain audio pipelines, workflows, and tools to optimize audio production and delivery.
- Work closely with the creative team to ensure audio assets align with the game's artistic vision.
- Troubleshoot and resolve audio-related issues, ensuring a high-quality final product.
- Manage and maintain audio assets, including editing, naming, and file organization.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in game audio or a related field.
- Proficiency in modern audio creation equipment, software, and recording techniques, with a strong understanding of at least one major DAW (ProTools, Nuendo, Live, Reaper).
- Experience with visual programming languages for audio (Unreal Blueprints, Max/MSP, PureData).
- Knowledge of game development tools, such as Perforce, Jira, and Devtrack.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex audio-related issues.
Bonus Skills
- Experience working with surround sound and other advanced audio formats.
- Knowledge of SFX creation pipelines and implementation workflows.
- Experience with relational databases (MS Access).
- Scripting or programming knowledge used to automate tasks (Python, Batch scripts).
